Since my Ninja Gaiden "cinema only" video was well received, I went ahead and made one for Ninja Gaiden 2. As in the original, the plot is incredibly complex for an NES game and demonstrates a cinematic artistry well ahead of its time. It's good stuff!

Psyrell's 195% single segment speed run of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is up! He plays as Richter and finishes in 1:49:21. He covers the maximum percentage of the map while cruising through the game at impressive speeds. Give this one a look!

10/22/2005
My no-death, no-damage Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts speed run is now available! This is a very difficult game for the SNES so I'm very excited about this run. Enjoy!

10/19/2005
I added Andrew Mills' speed run of P.N.03 for the Gamecube! He finishes the game in 47:58 which seems quite fast! Be sure to check it out!

09/08/2005

07/25/2005
Psyrell's new Castlevania: Symphony of the Night speed run is up! This new run finishes in 7:13 which is a tremendous time improvement over his older, but still impressive 9:46 run. Get it now!

06/08/2005
A video of Andypro & zer0amp playing Double Dragon 2 for the NES is now up. They play on the Supreme Master difficulty and finish with only two lives lost each. I love 2-player videos, and this is no exception!

05/24/2005
I added dessgeega's Mr. Driller Ace perfect air run to the main page. This is a neat little puzzler for the GBA that looks fun and frantic. Give it a look!

05/17/2005

05/05/2005
Andypro's no death, minimal damage run of Megaman for the NES has been added to the main page! This is a great run of a great game in which Andypro only gets hit 6 times. I found this run to be not only entertaining, but also informative and useful as well. I'll definitely be using some of his tricks the next time that I play. :)

03/11/2005
I added Psyrell's Castlevania: SotN speed run to the main page. Psyrell used Richter and blazed right through the game with astonishing speed. Castlevania fans will love this!

03/02/2005
I finally got my Marble Madness 175,080 video ready and uploaded! This is a great score, but there is still definitely room for improvement.

02/27/2005
This update features packattack's new Resident Evil Remake run. It is 1.30 faster than his old run and is the fastest time that I know of that is available online for public viewing. RE fans should get this now!

02/08/2005
I added my Marble Madness high score run to the main page. I managed a 167,430 which is very respectable! I might try to improve this since the competition at Twin Galaxies is pretty tight for this game, but for now I'm happy with this run.

01/31/2005
The latest video is of Contra: Shattered Soldier for the PS2 played by Mike Uyama. Like Psyrell's video of this game, Mike plays through while obtaining the S-Rank for every level. In addition, Mike focuses on finishing the game as quickly as possible! This video displays superb skill and mastery of the game so I'd definitely recommend giving it a look.

01/30/2005
Ah, it has been a while since the last update! Rest assured, there are more videos coming up soon. This update has a new Super Monkey Ball compilation video. This one contains all of the current world record replays and was compiled by the_icepenguin. It is simply fantastic!

10/08/2004
No videos this time, but I added a new section called The Soap Box. This is a place where I can put rants and such. The first rant expresses my current views on cheating.

10/06/2004
No death runs are all the rage! This time I added Shiner's no death run of Gradius Galaxies for the GBA. This is the first video on this site to feature a full audio commentary!

09/14/2004
I added Andypro's Imperishable Night video. It is a compilation of his best performances on the last 17 word spell cards. This is a must for any shmup fan!

09/08/2004
The latest addition is a video for Viewtiful Joe played by Joakley. He completes the Rainbow V Challenge for every episode with Captain Blue! This is a pretty cool game so make sure you check out these videos!

08/31/2004
I broke down and captured my fastest Metroid speed run. This run finishes in 22 minutes and skips Norfair altogether! It's a very old run that I did months ago, but it is worth a look if you want to see how to finish that quickly. I went through a lot of pain and suffering to preserve the 60 fps transparency effects so I hope it was worth it. :)

EDIT: Uploaded both Normal and High Quality versions of this run! The Normal Quality video is 320x240 at 30 fps and the High Quality one is 352x240 at 60 fps. Only the High Quality one sports the 60 fps effects!

08/09/2004
The latest video is of Street Fighter 2010 for NES played by Andypro. This game is very unique and somewhat rare. I really enjoyed seeing it beaten by a pro!

08/02/2004
I added packattack's Resident Evil speed run for the GameCube Remake. This video is very impressive and has tight execution. It finishes in under 90 minutes which makes it the 2nd fastest known time. I recommend this to all RE fans!

07/28/2004
I took a vacation recently so I apologize for not being around much if you needed to contact me. I'm back and ready to roll again. The latest video I added is by Shiner and Combustia. They play Star Wars: The Clone Wars for GameCube on the Geonosis: Jedi Academy mode which allows them to cooperatively wreak some havoc, jedi style. It is the first multiplayer video of this type that I have hosted so I hope people enjoy it!

07/09/2004
I uploaded my latest Super Mario World speed run! This one is 13 seconds faster than my old video and is a bit cleaner in execution. I also used some new time saving strategies. This video is pretty tight!

07/08/2004

06/28/2004
I added SnapDragon's no death video of Conker's Bad Fur Day. It's a great video with plenty of entertainment value. I also added smilingjack's Super Monkey Ball highlight reel. This video is a compilation of his best single level performances all rolled into one package. Both of these videos are highly recommended!

06/05/2004
I added my Super Mario World speed run video to the site since lots of people have asked for it. I probably won't be capturing many more of my own videos from now on. It takes a lot of effort and isn't worth the trouble with the current state of the gaming video scene.

There are more videos on the way though so don't fret. CCC-Shiner is working on some more stuff so keep your eyes peeled!

05/14/2004
I updated the Links section to include the Speed Demos Archive which is run by Radix. It's a fantastic site that I think you will like! I also added an About section. You should read it if you have any questions about this site.

I also completed the listing scripts so now you should be able to navigate and find videos much more efficiently! That pretty much completes the site overhaul until I think of something new. Be on the lookout for more videos in the coming weeks!

05/13/2004
The database for the site is all filled in, and the listings are now database driven! Only the complete listing is functional, but I have added sort capability to it. You can sort the listing by clicking the column headers at the top of the listing table.

In the next update, I hope to have the other listing scripts complete, but don't hold your breath... I'm a busy man so who knows. More videos ARE on the way too so be on the lookout!

04/28/2004
Major site overhaul! I ripped a lot of HTML from another site that I made from scratch almost 7 years ago... Oddly enough, that old site was the original "vortiginous" site. That project died a quick death and was forgotten about until I needed a domain name for my new server. The rest is history.

I'm working on a database driven design behind the scenes which will allow me to do some cool stuff with the layout. It also makes updating a breeze! I know it's overkill for a site like this, but I wanted to learn something new. More to come.

08/XX/2003
Uploaded the first videos to the site. Many were Super Monkey Ball world records which needed a home since ajshakey's site was being taken down. The original site design was very bare bones.
